Vikki’s lessons about important global issues are relevant and creative, inspiring learners of all ages to think deeply about these ‘big’ issues. Her whole school projects, often culminating in a beautiful display or performance, have brought the whole school community together. We look forward to continuing to draw on her expertise as we re-design our curriculum this year.

TEESNet prides itself on being a unique network in bringing research and practice together to develop new understanding. Vikki has been a valuable contributor, both through presentations and leading practical workshops which draw on a wealth of experience in the UK and internationally.

All of Vikki’s work reflects her commitment to achieving the best outcome for every learner and her creative thinking in developing the curriculum, pedagogy and resources that underpin this goal.

I have had the pleasure to attend a number of inspiring workshops and keynotes for school teachers that Victoria from Florus Education has run at different conferences. She is engaging, using lively active learning methods, well informed, up to date and full of innovative and practical ideas. I have also known her in her role as an Expert Centre Co-ordinator as part of the Global Learning Programme in England, where she has recruited, inspired and retained an active group of teachers from neighbouring schools. She has also been a really valuable source of advice for a Citizenship and Mathematics curriculum development project.

As an associate of the Curriculum Foundation, your strong understanding on implementation of a competency based curriculum, especially the critical balance between knowledge, skills and attitudes went a long way in ensuring that the books we developed will be used successfully by South Sudanese students with great results, and hopefully produce strong citizens able to positively contribute to the development of their country.

Through her role as an associate of the Curriculum Foundation, Vikki has worked with the Curriculum Development Centre here in Uganda to develop formative assessment strategies in support of our revised lower secondary curriuclum. We have found her approach to be creative and of a high quality. Her activities to help colleagues review and evaluate their work was particularly engaging.
